At the heart of Annapurna Region lies the Annapurna Conservation Area. The area is one of the well preserved and well maintained ecological and cultural hotspots in the world. The culture of Thakali people along the Kali Gandaki Valley and the eternally majestic peaks of Annapurna Ranges are the magnetic attractions of this region. The Annapurna Region is surrounded by many Himalayan ranges which include the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre or the famous fish-tail mountain that dominates the skyline above Pokhara.
The Annapurna trek takes you to terraced hillsides, picturesque villages and orchid & rhododendron forests, through sweeping fields, verdant forests, hot springs and some of the wild glacial areas all with the constant backdrop of the magnificent Himalaya. The lakeside town of Pokhara is Nepal’s prettiest and most relaxing town.
